Listening to every Houston song I can find today! Incredible vocals and Billy Sherrill's production j.ust made these jump out of my AM radio when they were new and, remastered, explode into my headphones today. Whole lot more music in these cuts than I realized 45 years ago!

David Houston, another singer that's been snubbed by the Country Music HOF he's been snubbed for induction like Bob Luman, Dottie West, Skeeter Davis, Billy Walker, Jack Greene, Jeannie Seely, those are the examples of why the HOF refuses to induct them in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

One of those guys that could go from 0 to 100 vocally without blinking an eyelash...the type of guy that is sorely missed not only in country music, but music in general nowadays.

The final #1 Country & Western hit for David Houston. It was the 178th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts. It was also the first #1 C&W song of 1970. What would the 1970's bring in the world of Country Music. Who would be the breakout act? Would Buck Owens and Sonny James continue to fight for dominance? We shall see.
