its funny that when focus came out most people didn't consider it very metal focus still sounds like an album that could of been released yesterday it was extremely progressive thinking and style for that time and still is really.12 years ago

I didn't know about Cynic until recently but I think they have an awesome thing going on :) I do prefer new Cynic, but I can appreciate the old stuff. I was kinda like you for this album but if you listen to it for what it is and not try and think of Cynic as originally a metal band, you'll really enjoy this record. I'm sure on the next full album they'll carry on where "Traced In Air" left off :)12 years ago
