OH, THE CRYAN SHAMES! We in our band did so many of these guys' songs! We were kind of known in the Midwest of the Sons of Cryan' Shames. Imagine me singing this song at my age now? Way too high! This one and Up On a Roof!!Thank you for this great biggy. Saw them in person several times and even had a chance to chat with them! Again, thanks!KEM

One pretty song deserves another. Try this.

Some of those photos of the group while on stage look like the (defunct) Mendel Catholic High School (Chicago, IL) stage; they did play at our school once or twice in about 66' or 67'.

I remember the single of this came out - it sounded like the Beach Boys' Wouldn't It Be Nice without the acid.

This was the Song that defined Chicago Rock and Blues in the late 60s. My brother played for a time with the "Cryan' Shames Revival" group in the late 70s. Also had a cousin who played for a time with the "Ides of March" revival band around that time also. Great times!

I trained at Fort Sill in OK in 1968 with a guy named Rubino. He was from Chicago and this was his favorite band. One of my favorites as well. Are you out there Rubino? I'd like to welcome you home.

I was an early teen growing up ahead of my time in Normal Illinois on the ISU campus that listened to WLS in Chicago - remember the "Silver Dollar Survey"? We didn't need Billboard charts! This most exquisite song brought to my mind *exactly* what I "knew" love was supposed to be, to feel like. Well, I've missed a few times to say the least, but this work of art still gives me faith. Thank you for posting it!

That was the song that my girl Joan Brennan and I thought was our song in 1968. She lived in the Boagan area in Chicago. And 86 th and Loomis. I'm sure she remembers G.O.J. She called her self bright Brennan. And she was. She went to longwood acadamy. I really loved her! And missed her! Oh what memories! I took the bus from canaryville to 86th and Loomis to see her. Worth every minute!
