Another Great Windy City group that rolled out a number of hits along with such Chicagoland groups as The Buckinghams and The Cryin Shames and Spanky & our gang

One of the best records of `68, came in May/June.A ,tremendous slow dance ballad which was huge in the NYC area especially on WOR-FM. The New Colony Six, a great part of the Chicago connection along with the Buckinghams, Cryin`Shames, etc. Also reminds me of WLS & WCFL which I listened to at night.

Love this song. It brings me back to a happier, simpler time. The great music was endless as were the youth, we were the largest generation in history. So innocent, idealistic, hopeful for the better future we invisioned. I can close my eyes and almost be there..the feelings, smells and MM I will always think about him and our love in '68. We thought age would never catch us, dubbed the "Peter Pan Generation", alas it has caught us and Peter Pan is now a senior citizen, but we all share memories of a very special time in history, the good and the bad times. We always had the great music....

One of the Pastel Groups....love, yellow balloons, young and free and love all around. After the Summer of Love the intoxication continued on with bands such as these...I will always love......The New Colony Six.....

68 was a good nostalgic year.Simpler and honest time in life.Life hummed along and music was awakening in America s consciousness. This was a time that began the creation of new pathways of musical expression as youth began to express tender feelings and fears they had as they faced the changing world. This song reminded me of the girl I took to my Prom. This was a time when I was dating girls and preparing to leave home, enter the Army and basically begin my life.47 years later, I guess I made it okHad a great life so far.Married 32 years with grandchildren and still love life.Blessed for my blessings and relative good health. What great memories though from yesteryear..

Great song from a special time. Went into the Army in late 67. SJR said she would wait and we would be together when I came home. Got the "dear john" phone call in 68. Told me we had changed and she had found someone new. Found love again with AGD and we've been married over 40 years. But I still think of her whenever I hear this song.
