Forty four years ago and still kicks anything you can get your hands on. I appreciate the honesty, the rawness.

天氣又變冷了,在此奉上一首聽完讓你熱血沸騰的硬式搖滾,要是您血液循環較差的話請配上一杯烈酒,一邊驅寒一邊清耳朵,不亦樂乎!

I think that was a pause for a chord change on a guitar that was left in by a highly inexperienced record producer called Terry Knight, which would have otherwise been cleaned up by a better producer

"Girl, please believe meh" (SWOOSH!) "Ah, wouldn't cheat own yew" (SWOOSH!). A good producer would have cleaned that up, and (maybe) even mic'ed Lee Pickens excellent guitar playing a little better. Unfortunately, the producer in this case was Terry Knight, whose only prior production experience was as a DISC JOCKEY!

One of my old favorite groups. Saw them live in Atlanta in 1971. In the top two shows I've ever attended. Lee Pickens on lead (Les Paul) guitar. Jim Rutledge (vocals). Stevie Hill (on the awesome Hammond B3 organ). Ed Grundy (Bass/vocals).

I have their first 2 albums, they remind me a little of Grand Funk, another one of my favorite bands from that era.

Back in the 70's there was an undrerground station in Chicago known as Triad Radio, it was on the air between 1969-1977. It was on late at night and played a lot of great unheard music. The guy that produced that show is still at it but now on the internet. Google Triad Free Form Radio WXFM FM-106. He posts a lot of music from the old playlists on Facebook. That's how I found this.

I couldnt agree more! Maybe some independent stations will play this, though.

The thing about "classic" and "oldies" formats is they are only going to play what was a big hit at the time. It's not profitable for the industry to attempt to re-introduce out-of-print bands, even when they totally rock. Once the decision was made 40-60 years ago to promote one band over another, they tend to stick with it.

I guess that's what makes YouTube so great. I've discovered so many great bands just by surfin' from song to song. I wasn't even a gleam in my father's eye when this song was recorded, but it kicks major butt.

Saw BR in Memphis with GFR in '70 or '71. The entire place was on their feet and moving and the energy was unparalleled. Remember it to this day ! Especially 'Jessica.'
