I miss going to Bristol Renaissance Faire! It's not that far away~six hours to drive~but, I have an ancient car and legs that won't work well enough to take me there. I watch my videotapes and cry from missing it. Those of us who wear garb and take part even without pay (playtrons!) understand the enchantment of faires. We feel and look as if we belong in another time, as our hearts and minds have always told us. We don't idealize those times, but we love the atmosphere and the escapism.
