Anyone besides me love coming to youtube to walk down memory lane? The 70's was truly the best time to grow up. So much happened in the 70's, so many of lifes ....firsts LOL?Spent the weekend with BOA ( jim) when i was only 14, he was a gentleman, said he would give me a shotgun if i ate a corndog for him. Cant buy memories like that. He has an awesome sense of humor.

I had a look at the town of Black Oak, Arkansas on Google Earth. I was surprised by both its smallness and inherent decay. Very sad!

That's not Tommy Aldridge on the kit.... Dunno who it is, but I know who its not... This must be rite after Tommy bolted from the band... They're still using his kit.... Notice how dark they keep the back of the stage, and no close ups at all.... Just listen.... There's no pounding bass.... Almost sounds like a tribute band...

Who's in the band?Jim Dandy, Tommy Aldridge, Ruby Starr, Pat Daugherty, Stanley Knight, Ricky Reynolds, Jimmy Henderson? Who is the other guy doing backup vocals on the chorus?

I was fortunate enough to meet Jim Dandy many years ago in Jonesboro Arkansas. I was working as a teenager as a lifeguard at a waterside when a white limo came in the parking lot. Jim Dandy had brought a small child (I believe it was his daughter) to the waterside for the day. I had a chance to speak with him for a while, and although it was over 20 years ago, I still remember it like it was yesterday. I still remember the gold BOA necklace that he was wearing.
