I can think of two primary reasons why this one didn't take off in 1982. First, IRS already had a power-pop girl group called the Go-Go's, who had just nailed the top 10 with "Our Lips are Sealed". Putting out a second group, which was working independently, probably didn't set well with the label. If memory serves, A&M was distributing them at the time. The other: Annette was leaving as their bass player and that always causes jitters. Their move to CBS the next year was the best move, and this release got lost in the shuffle.
