Jim Clench died Tuesday morning this week after a long battle with cancer. He did play with BTO for a while after leaving April Wine. He rejoined the line up in 2000 and did several tours with them. Jim was a huge factor in tthe sound of April Wine, and wrote and sang many of thier hits including Oowatanite, Weeping Widow, and Cats Claw. He shaped the sound of the band and made them Canadian Rock icons before his departure. He will be missed.13 years ago

I can't believe that I never before recognized that Jim Clench was the singer for this song, especially since I loved his work with those last two BTO albums. According to the April Wine website he's still with them. He's gotten a lot heavier - he looks like a bonafide BTO member now....!16 years ago
