Dar Williams' "After All" with sync'd lyrics and a slideshow.

I'm not the copyright holder for either the song or the photos in this video, I've just put them together. The photos were in 500px "Popular" section at the end of June - beginning of July 2013. Enjoy!

A few notes on the apps and programs used for making this video:

• Slideshow compiled in iPhoto with option "Fit Slideshow to Music" checked -- iPhoto will automatically span the display time of each photo in the list to fit the song's duration; the playlist should contain only the mp3 of this song.

• Imported slideshow video in Aegisub 3.0.3 (http://www.aegisub.org) and synchronized subtitle with lyrics; saved subtitle as *.ass file (the file format accepted by Format Factory).

• Embedded subtitle in slideshow using Format Factory 3.1.1 (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format-Factory) under Crossover

I was the daughter of a great romance, and they were children of the war, ..... Sometimes the truth is a second chance, The sun rose, and it worked me over like a piece of art, andI was part of all that. ...I think life chose me after all....big smile.

Go ahead push your luckFind out how much love the world can holdOnce upon a time I had control and reined my soul in tightWell the whole truthIs like the story of a wave unfurledBut I held the evil of the worldSo I stopped the tideFroze it up from insideAnd it felt likeA winter machine that you go through and thenYou catch your breath and winter starts againAnd everyone else is spring boundBut when I chose to liveThere was no joy it's just a line I crossedIt wasn't worth the pain my death would costSo I was not lost or foundAnd if I was to sleepI knew my family had more truth to tellAnd so I traveled down a whispering wellTo know myself through themGrowing up my mom had a room full of booksAnd hid away in thereHer father raging down a spiral stairTill he found someone most days his sonAnd sometimes I think my father, too, is a refugeeI know they tried to keep their pain from meThey could not see what it was forBut now I'm sleeping fineSometimes the truth is like a second chanceI am the daughter of a great romanceAnd they are the children of the warWell the sun roseWith so many colors it nearly broke my heartIt worked me over like a work of artAnd I was apart of all thatSo go ahead push your luckSay what it is you gotta say to meWe will push on into that mysteryAnd it will push right backAnd there are worse things than that'cause for every price and every penance that I could think ofIt's better to have fallen in loveThan never to have fallen at all'cause when you live in a worldWell it gets in to who you thought you'd beAnd now I laugh at how the world changed meI think life chose meAfter all
