Yeah...you're right and Williams is not the better for a epic battle scene. In star Wars series his music fellow one precise action (a ship moving, a tree falling, a walker shooting, etc), but for emulating a battle atmosphere, the men is Hans Zimmer but I didn't choose Hans BTW. In that way, Desplat was the choice. I wanted to hear what it could sound if a super modern composer like Panderecki was choosen.

Yeah, Alexandre desplat have a more ''sequencial'' style of writing (looping, repeating) and his texture loose in surprises but it's difficult to gain to Williams level. Williams creat the dimension of every second of the movie, he rarely repeating artifices, always change his orchestration to make contrast and variety, the same technique that Shostakovich, Stravinski or Gherswin uses. It's this lack of refresh and lively spontaneity that miss to some modern movie composers. Computer fault!
