Title: Old ManArtist: ZZ TopAlbum: First Album (1971)Words and music by Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard.Lyrics:Old man sleepin' the hot day away, while he dreams a thousand yesterdays.'Cause he's had so many come his way.All he cares about is somewhere to lay his head tomorrow.Old man sits and thinks about his home.Doesn't matter 'cause he's all alone. What he'd give to get back on his own.Curses his body 'cause it's old and it gives no transportation. He sits in his one room shack alone but it provides no consolation. What a shame, his time is nearin'.His eyes won't let him seethe skies are clearin'.Someone tells himwithout his hearin'.It's no news to those who've been aroundwhile things are changin'.

Nope, unfortunately only a handful of songs from the first 2 albums have been released on the box set in their original mixes. Vinyl sounds better anyway. Totally different sound/feel, this truly is the little ol' band from Texas playin' the blues. No "recycled" crap.

Yeah. I have ZZ Top Six Pack. It's Six CDs with their first six albums on it. Great stuff.

Anyone know if the original mix is availible on CD? The last version I had was on cassette in the early 90s..Still love the album, But is SO drenched in reverb and echo on the remix! Thanks for posting
