This is a quick recording I did to showcase the quality recording from a Zoom H6 field recorder. There is no effects added. This is a great way for anyone recording their own music who doesn't have the budget for a recording studio....

More about the Zoom H6: http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/h6/

Vocal Mic: AKG C3000B

For the real musicians, be kind as I'm self taught :/

Product Features

- Interchangeable input capsules that can be swapped out as easily as the lens of a camera

- Six-track simultaneous recording

- Four mic/line inputs with XLR/TRS combo connectors

- Gain controls (real knobs!) and -20dB pads for each input

- Phantom power for all main inputs: +12/+24/+48V

Good friend, How did you attached the Go pro suction mount to the H6? I have been looking for the mount and it does not have the 3/8 thread that the H6 Requires. Great video!

Thank you! Been doing my research and found mostly useless..I mean, what's up with these 'unboxing videos'?  You won me over that last 2% of hesitance, and I plan to use with both field recording to add to the all hardware synth ambient work and I just love the interface and now your example with a true test...a piano, and very nice piece at that. Thanks so much for this great video. Subscribed for future pragmatic in-use applications of gear, and hopefully more of your beautiful music.

great sound! Pardon the newbie question, I own a zoom h4n, and am a singing pianist.  Would i be able to record well with this simple setup? I am thinking of putting the zoom on lid, and using a vocal mic plugged into the zoom.  Would the zoom able to record both inputs simultaneously (singing and piano)? thank you John...

Thank you for this video. I'm a professional pianist considering buying Zoom H6 for my home studio, so this video really helped. Love the piece and your performance. So beautiful and expressive. Nobody will know if you don't tell them you're self taught. :)

Thank you very much for posting this. Your playing is beautiful.  I have two questions for you:  Were you recording the piano with the just the H6 microphone or were you also using the external microphone that you recorded your speaking with?  Second, which microphone attachment were you using on the H6?Thanks again for posting this!
