I have been drumming for 45 years and I must say that his Book The Art of Bop Drumming is the most comprehensive and clear cut work on jazz. I woodshed Jim Chapins book back in the 70's and 80's but John Rileys book is the definitive book to learn jazz drumming. Plus he is the most gracious person and humble as well. Check it out, its all in there. Everything thing you will need to play jazz and develop you skill level.12 years ago
