Loved this song from the day it was released, finally I get to see what they look like. I always thought they were a male/female duo, don't know why, but there you go

Pick your son, pick your daughter too, from the bottom of a long glass tube. That line creeped me out when I was ten years old. No wonder- It`s come true. What have we become?

This is a prophetic satanic Illuminati song. You were all warned.

While this song is decidedly creepy and not optimistic about the future, I'm certain that it will be played at all the New Year celebrations on December 31, 2524. I can almost imagine the colorful ball in Times Square moving down the pole to this song...

Just a theory: by the year 10,000 the amount of gas that people create by farting will replace all of the oxygen supply and we will all suffocate

I'm listening from 1999 AD. Big fire is falling from the heavens. What was that? I think I just saw something fly by. It seems to be going toward where it's all coming from.

Don't think we'll even make to 2025, let alone 9595!

Although I was only 9 and liked this song when it was on the charts in July of 1969, as I got older I found out that this song was the # 1 Song Of The Year awarded by Billboard and I wish it hadn't won that title! How fortunate that this song has captivating lyrics......things to think about if you will, and that it was out at the same time Apollo 11 landed on the moon. However, this song has a repetitious beat and melody and this song has a negative message/ending. The real masterpiece song for 1969 came in at # 2 for the year, Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In by The Fifth Dimension, a song that has two distinctive beats/pacing built in, as if it were two songs for the price of one, not to mention it's positive message throughout about peace and love. Interesting, too, that both these songs were #1 for six weeks during their chart runs. I guess it came down to which song made the most money/sales to earn the title of the #1 rank.

A brilliant, timeless song! But 9595? I suspect we will be long gone, way before then.

To think that this song was done in 1969 and the verse "you pick your son, pick your daughter too from the bottom of a long glass tube" came true nine years later with the first test tube baby. Pretty amazing prediction and we didn't have to wait until 6565. Pretty eerie.

Very good text. And the future will certainly end like that.
