Isbell's performance kills this. If you're gonna cover a song, do it at least nearly as well, but then again that is impossible because Jason is better than everyone else... no offense to Zac, he's great too in his own right.

I'm not sure how anyone can say that Jason Isbell sang this song better than Zac Brown. Yes, he wrote the song, but Zac Brown brought the song to life.....just like he did with the Ryan Adams "Oh My Sweet Carolina"

I noticed he sang "to give all in some god awful war" instead of the original "to fight somebody's Hollywood war". That sapped a lot of meaning from the song. If Zac Brown is going to sing somebody else's song, and it's fine if he does, he just needs to keep it true to the original and not turn it into a cotton candy red-white-and-blue pop country song.
