Yusuf - In The End (Live Yusuf's Cafe Session 2007) + Lyrics

You can't bargain with the truth

'Cause whether you're right or you're wrong

We're gonna know what you've done

We're going to see where you belong - in the end

You can't bargain with the truth

Whether you are black or you're white

We're going to know who's right

We're going to see you in the light - in the end

O and every little thing you do

You'd better know it's coming back to you

You can't bargain with the truth

'Cause one day you're gonna die

And good's going high,

And evil's going down - in the end

You can't bargain with the truth

Whether you're old or young

We're going to see what you've done

There'll be nowhere else to run - in the end

You can't bargain with the truth

'Cause whether you're rich or you're poor

You're going to meet at the same door;

You're going to know the real score - in the end

And if you want to help your fellow man

You better start with what is in your hand

You can't bargain with the truth

'Cause whether you're right or you're wrong

We're going to know what you've done

We're going to see where you belong - in the end

You can't bargain with the truth;

'Cause if the world you chose

No further than your nose

Will be where the doors will close- in the end

You can't bargain with the truth

'Cause for those who were deceived

There'll be no reprieve

There'll be no time to believe - in the end

O and every little thing you do

You better know it's coming back to you

You can't bargain with the truth

'Cause one day you're gonna die

And good's going high,

And evil's going down - in the end

There are some commentators who says that non-muslims will go to hell. They speak like they have really faith in one god and their place is reserved in heaven :) :) :).I am also a muslim and i think muslims must much worry about their hereafter, their afterdeath than non-muslims.

@Glupipi he does not say that non-muslims will go to hell. Read the lyrics properly. It is your perception. He only says evil's going down - in the end.

It is always interesting to note that those who believe in hell never think that THEY are going there, but they will be happy to tell you who IS going there. If one believes in God (or Allah), then one must know that ONLY God decides who goes to hell, not people (like you or me or clerics or priests) or books. Think about it. I think it is how one lives one's life with respect to his fellow man/woman that really matters and has real consequences.

Whatever it is the man is trying to convey thru this song why can't we just view it as a general 'man & god/religion' relationship since as far as i know all religion teaches us to be a good person..so when he say 'believe' just imagine that you're believing in your own faith/beliefs. Such a beautiful song, why need to complicate it by raising all these questions about who believe in what..

@Glupipi Hey man, I'm not a Christian. I'm not going to hell. I'm not a Muslim either. But I do use all the teachings from positive religion to live everyday life. I'm spiritual. I feel like when I die their will be peace just because I try hard to be a good person everyday. I think if there is a heaven I'm going because I try to be positive and peaceful and I do good deeds. I'm not perfect. BY ALL MEANS I'M NEVER GOING TO BE PERFECT!! I don't want to be either. I want peace.

It's a beautiful song, but it's also kind of horrible. In short, he's saying you'll go to hell if you're not careful. And by saying "There'll be no time to believe - in the end", I think he agrees with the 'fact' that non-muslims will go to hell. Or at least non believers. That's the one thing that I really don't like in religion.
