Yuck - Milkshake (at Room 205) video free download

With a standout live performance of "Milkshake," Yuck delivers a healthy dose of mellow distortion in their second installment of Room 205. Sweet, but definitely not saccharine, the song opens with a cameo appearance from video muse Ariela Marin, best known for her leading roles in the band's official videos for "Rubber" and "Get Away".

For this episode of Room 205 director Michael Reich, editor Forrest Borie, and set designer Tamarra Younis mined deep 90s vibes to film indie guitar rock acolytes Yuck (think Sonic Youth, Twin Peaks, etc). Having already worked with Reich, Yuck and video muse Ariela Marin (reprising her roles as a dog groomer and diaper-clad backup dancer), knew they were in for a weird one: 90s public access TV + homemade green-screens + VHS tape = The Wayne's World-ification of Yuck. Enjoy.

BIO

Formed just over a year ago, Yuck is a quartet, but sometimes a band of five. Daniel and Max are from London. Mariko is from Hiroshima. Jonny is from New Jersey. Daniel's sister Ilana joins in for occasional live shows. Since the March 2010 release of their debut single "Georgia," Yuck has been on tour, supporting folks like Teenage Fanclub, Modest Mouse, and Times New Viking. As well, they've recently had their cathartic guitar dirge "Rubber" remixed by Mogwai, (and it is rad!). Yuck self-produced and recorded their debut album at home, released February 2011 on Fat Possum. All in all, pretty epic.

The indiest indie band I've ever seen.. It's like each band member was pulled out of 'Scott pilgrim vs the world' or something. Reminds me of that movie so much

the thing is with this band. (I have the album and mildly enjoy it Btw) They really do just sound like teenage fanclub most of the time and the other half of the time they sound like sonic youth/dinosaur and that for me just makes them a bit dull. It would be ok if I thought they seemed like really unique people/had huge/interesting personalities, but they kind of don't. they fall short of the mark somehow. A nice song none the less, no harm in it
