I think it may just be due to the particular set, or to the production of the song, rather than his skills. His skills seem to be pretty good, but if given a better set (or with improvements on production of the drumming parts), this problem could possibly be solved.11 years ago

Spot on! I think part of it may be production. Also, this band is obviously newer, and we can't expect every metalcore/hardcore/deathcore drummer to live up to the standards of August Burns Red and As I Lay Dying.11 years ago
