Heard this on Giles Peterson BBC Radio 6 show but he played a version without the rapping. So much better, i'm kinda frustrated i can't find that version. Firstly you can barely hear what he's rapping about, Second he's rapping about nothing interesting. Thirdly it just ruins the song, i mean i couldn't think of any better way to ruin a brilliant brass tune. If you thought it would suit a more modern audience with the rap then I think you've made a mistake.10 years ago

Even though Youngblood Brass does Jazzy/New Orleans very well (Crescent City comes to mind -) even "Brooklyn"-style. :D .. But they're an amazing band/ensemble/group of people. I just hope they keep their fresh and amazingly no-idea-how-they're-doing-that rhythmic style. #YBB10 years ago
