John Martyn At The BBC is an excellent dvd. But It could have been one of the greatest collections of all time when I see some of the stuff on Youtube that didn't get on that dvd.

This is one of my all time favourite songs by anyone in any genre of music. Pure magic.

I do tend to read people wrong, must just have caught him on a bad day. Everyone I have ever spoken to says he is a good guy so I must be wrong

Totally brilliant, JM was the man, but I can't help but think that Whisperin' Bob looked a lot like a Sloth as he waited for JM to tune up!

The mics are AKG C451 condensers with a CK5 capsule screwed onto the end of a VR1 extender tube. The BBC had acquired a large number of these kits from AKG in the early 1970s, and you often see them used on BBC2 music programs of this period.
