I went to see B.B. King this past weekend.He started strumming out a song, It was this song, You Are My Sunshine. He stopped and began telling us a story. He told us of how he had been all over the world, and that this song was one that everyone knows, no matter where ever he went.Then he began playing Lucile again, but this time he started out with the sweetest of bittersweet words, You Are, then we all came in with the rest, My Sunshine. To me that's the blues, sharing and understanding.

My father was a fireman during the war, and they held a party for the children at Christmas, I sang this song at the party and was given a prize.Forever after it was known as MY song by all my family. I still feel an affinity and I`m now 75, lovely to hear it again
