Soto does an amazing job with the vocals but I feel Coverdale puts more feeling and emotion into it after all he wrote the lyrics and all artists put a little bit of themselves into their work that is why it is so difficult to cover other artists because you don't have the connection or the inspiration that created it

Dont agree Blackmores live performance at the California jam was the best ever rendition of mistreated. He made the stratocaster scream that night epic live performance dont forget yngwie is in studio here and this version has been mixed and cleaned up. Whereas Ritchie was live on stage pumped and performing like the guitar god he is. When Yngwie can produce a riff like mistreated maybe I will change my mind. Until then dont insult the Man in Black. Respect.

gotta disagree. Blackmore disappoints here, regardless of his god-status. Malmsteen just rips it up, expressive and whole-hearted.

Malmsteen is incredible, grab a fucking guitar and try playing the stuff he comes up to. Blackmore is a genius in the way he created music. Two different qualities that a few guitar players have together.
