This song started auto playing after I had watched early Yes doing some Yessongs. I had my headphones on while working and thought "Wow, why does this version sound so terrible? Is this a bad rehearsal or what?" Then I look over and saw it was pseudo Yes.

Tired and indulgent. Particularly Squire.

Quite a different Steve Howe than the one I remember who would be jumping around at this point and basically wailing and jamming the s**t outta this song! That would be circa 1970's-ish? The entire decade? Did all that time go by already? Wow, it went fast!

When this was first written in 1971 Steve said "check out this trippy chord structure for the end".... and years later he had no idea how many years of life have been spent raking them out....... ; ) he 's always s happy to get to his solo

YES is pretty mediocre these days. Geoff Downes cannot beat Rick Wakeman's moog solo on the Yessong album; Jon Davison isn't a terrible singer, but of course, he's no replacement for a Jon Anderson with his voice fully intact (which isn't happening very much nowadays). I'm not so sure about Chris Squire's bass wankery here.

That is class shit. It's a pity that Yes has been reduced to one man playing an acoustic guitar.

fuckin' awful. Anyone who doesn't see the vast amount of cheese coming from a band who were ONCE supposedly the antithesis of cheese go suckle their Beiber barbies...
