Like Sal Boccia, I remember the 1975 show at Roosevelt Stadium, which was the first of many MANY times I saw Yes. I'd just graduated high school and it was a big adventure to go to see my favorite band. Despite the mud and rain and delays and ACE opening, it WAS an amazing show, despite the crappy venue. I skipped the show there in 76 though and instead saw them with Gary Wright and Peter Frampton (along with 100,000+ people!) at JFK Stadium in Philly... an event with its own highs and lows! I wonder if any recordings exist of either the 1975 Jersey City show or the 1975 Philly shows? I guess I should go look! ;-)

its really unfortunate that almost no footage of Roger Deans amazing stage (3 snakes set) for the band in action exists. It was by far and away their best then or since.

yes I was there what they where throwing where little orange drink cartons that they where selling.they ran out so it was like a wave of locus..it started like "the wave"cool to look at.I was 16 then and remember crowds of people just randomly fist fighting.one fight in front of me lasted like 10 or 15 mins .on then off .It was really out of control until YES started playing.I put this in my top 5 concerts .I have seen YES about 10 times also.70"s shows where the best.the whole vibe.

Was there ..impressive light show. They were so tight.what i remember sadly was that one of the huge stage mirror's got pulled down on the rowdy crowd landing on .top of some kid killing him.for some reason there where lots of fist fights and outside a member of some motorcycle club stabbed and killed a kid for no reason causing the end of booking future tours there ending a great place to see shows.remember this was 76' laser huge yes air balloon over the stadium. was 16 seen yes 10 times"best 1

Does anyone else who was at this show remember Livingston Taylor (opening act) being pelted with cans and other thrown objects so he walked off the stage? Ironically I remember it was when he started singing "Get By With A Little Help With My Friends" during the words "what would you do if I sang out of tune". The second act was Pousette Dart Band.

I have this show on 2 cassettes. Broadcast live over WNEW, NY. As Richard Neer said. Around 35,000 people on their feet applauding what has been an incredible concert by YES.

I was there! June 17, 1976. Read my concert review on YesNet tour reviews. Moraz butchered every song he didn't record. Stage was best setup they ever toured with but they sounded the best during the 77 GFTO tour at Madison Square Garden. They were so tight and on the money then.

I recorded this off the radio when they broadcasted it live.
