The last two verses are supposedly said to be: "Thoughts deep within my mind that won't disgrace my kind." This according to any google search I can find off the Internet. Strange. For it sounds more to me as: "The street within my mind that won't disgrace my kind." at least to me it does. I don't know about anyone else and what they're hearing, but that's what I hear. So I'll just go ahead and interpret the verses as an allusion to the 'Chandhi Chowk,' the street of the silversmiths in Old Delhi, with a house on it with an office mantel with the inscription 'Ramsden Ross and Grim,' as mentioned in Talbot Mundy's 1923 novel 'The Nine Unknown,' which is also alluded to in his 1931 novel entitled 'Jimgrim Sahib.' The same James Schulyer Grim (Jimgrim) that said "I Am Number One," while in the Grand Gallery of the Great Pyramid. I guess one can read into this also an allusion to what was hinted at by Patrick McGoohan's 'The Prisoner' 1967-68 series reminescent of Joseph Conrad's 1907 novel with his 'twos and sixes to a T.'

I was about 3 or 4 when I first heard this I can reckon the date because I have a place memory of sitting in my dads car and listening to it on the radio. Its the chorus that goes right through me along with Good Vibrations and Hey Jude they were classics of their era.
