YACHT's "Second Summer" is a state of mind: overcoming obstacles in order to be close to what you love, a temporal place where the sun never goes out no matter what season it is in your hemisphere. Two new remixes from RAC (Richard Benson and Chris Duckenfield) and Ben Aqua linger long after the last rays and waves have dissipated, letting Claire Evan's stentorian heartache evade any impending responsibilities of love. RAC's version corkscrews and wobbles without ever getting entirely submerged, though Ben Aqua's trippy rendering fully surrenders to the rippling aquatic energy. Like the original Summer of Love and its acid house revival, the Second Summer of Love, the aim is true: to create a carefree environments of total freedom.
