In keeping with overlooked drummers What about John Maher of The Buzzcocks too? He was only about 18 when they recorded their first album and he was phenomenal. Another rock drummer who was way ahead of his time was Mick Tucker from Sweet. Listen to 'Set me free' on here. He really was unbelievably good!
