After all these years this is the first time I hear the "censored" version. It still kicks ass, of course!

In any urbanised part of England it can be very important which street you live in. This is a marvellous parody on the common neighbours' rant, vis.: 'This is Respectable Street!' Always reminds me of Hyacinth Bucket. :)

I bought Black Sea as soon as it was released in 1980 (it came in a lime-green paper bag!) and played it to death and to my mates. If it hadn't been for the two soppy tracks Generals & Majors and Sgt. Rock, this album would have been better received. XTC needed someone in the studio to tell them what to leave off. Just imagine what the Beatles would have sounded like if John Lennon hadn't been there to stop Macca's sugary excesses!

absorption instead of abortions... I mean c'mon. That is a tenant of this track's projection.

Nirvana? XTC is Bach compared to Nirvana in my opinion.

I found the second chord Andy played: Low to high, Left to right, It's: 9.8.9.0.7.0. According to Jguitar.com, That's a C#11#9b5 ; A C# 11th Sharp 9th Flat 5th.
