I read the comments while they were talking at the start - thought oh this will be crap, but that performance was solid! His voice is spot on and wicked sound with the lapslide. I personally hate when an artist changes the lyrics or sound too much and loses the original sound.

Anyone wanting to know the instrument, it's called a lap steel. It's specifically used for slides. Although similar to just playing slide guitar, lap steels tend to have more of a smoother slide sound. They are very common in country and sometimes blues.
