First part of Germ Free Adolescents.

Damn shame X-Ray Spex never made another gem of an album like this.

The intro is like Led Zeppelin. The lyrics are ahead of their time. Total geniusBest punk band after Sex Pistols and The Damned

What an amazing artist Poly was. And the incredible lyrics from one so young. What a lovely person she was as well. RIP Poly.

Sadly I didn't discover this band until 1983. Thank you to my friend who introduced me. One of the great punk bands of the time.

Now THIS... This is what punk SHOULD be. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of this album.

...Gawd this Band was just so bloody good... as mentioned a few times here already, they truly are classic, this stuff sounds like it could have been done last week... Poly you were beyond glorious... Sigh... It just continues to hurt that you're gone... Hug to you wherever you are....

That is quite a vision you have conjured up, nice story mate. All kids parties should have a human popcorn popper. This track, this album, this band…it just never ever gets old, brilliant stuff.

Lol,wonder if fruit salad and Gobstoppers have anti-aging properties when you're in your forties.Punk sure does.Neighbors had their kids birthday party complete with trampoline. They asked me to play this track and I Am A Cliche. The trampoline was like a human popcorn popper.

I didn't mean that we're still out in the garden eating fruit salads and gobstoppers 35 years later, BUT I do still listen to them on the regular. :)

Nobody did it like them and it still rocks the shit out of anything else to this day. Awesome sound, awesome band, Poly RIP. x

I feel blessed to have heard of them when I was about 10 years old, we still went apeshit. British kids at parties jacked up on cola and sweets, they put us out in the garden. 35 years later - no change :)

This song is a beast. This could have been recorded yesterday, it is that timeless. There is nothing that sucks about xray spex, this song, this album and especially Poly Styrene. No one has this style and talent. I love the juxtaposition that this band brings. It is like hardcore and traditional. Classic and innovative. Soft and hard. Poly can rock harder than most people can IMO. The riff is explosive and the lyrics are empowering. Nothing left to add to this masterpiece.
