I have always loved the track but wondered what it means until Thanks to Jeremiah Brand wrote; - It is ABOUT the story of Samson and Delilah from the Bible. Essentially, Samson was an extremely strong man (a power given to him by God). The only catch was that Samson was NOT to cut his hair ever. If he did he would lose his power. Because he was a man however, he succumbed to every man's greatest weakness- that is, a beautiful woman. He looked out his window one day and saw a woman named Delilah bathing, and was mesmerized. Samson fell in love with Delilah and she eventually convinced him to tell her his weakness (his hair). That night, she cut it and his power was immediately gone and he was left weak, and feeble. Samson was left vulnerable to his enemies and they gauged out his eyes, took him to Gaza and chained him up. I think there are two morals to the story. What men should get out of it is that sexual attraction is a secular thing that can very easily betray you. It can take destroy you. (As a teenage boy I know exactly how this feels lol). For women, I think it's about knowing your own powers (if you know what I mean). What both genders can take out of this is 1. Resist temptation and 2. The classic, "with great power comes great responsibility."
