We are LOVING the greatness that is Wynter Gordon!!!

Not only will she be performing at our One Night In Austin event next weekend, but earlier this week, she treated us to a stripped down version of her song, Stimela!

Check out her EXCLUSIVE acoustic performance (above)!!

So AHmazing! We can't get enough of her cool, eclectic voice and talent!

The song is off Wynter's Doleo EP, with the chorus sung in Zulu!

Well could you please tell us what she butchered exactly and how it should be? I'm just really curious as to what it should be. I love and am genuinely interested in African languages. They have such a musical quality (at least the few that I've heard). Also, you could probably cut her some slack. She's not a native speaker (I'm assuming) and the African languages aren't very forgiving or easy when it comes to pronunciation and whatnot.

First of You didnt create it and you should be happy that more African Americans are taking interest in what essentially is our culture. I learned many African songs and yes some of the word were incorrect as well as the phonetics of it but at least there is a great attempt and effort. You can't knock that. She is showing a love for culture and trying to give pop music and music in general some more personality.

Doesn't change the FACT that she's butchering MY language. Call me an Asshole a million times, doesn't change the fact that you don't know shit!!!

you don't have to be an ass about it either lol that "you'd think anyone that even remotely African would be jazzed at this" comment didn't have to be thrown in there. don't fight ignorance with even more ignorance.

Because Zulu is not African at all right ? You're a moron. You'd think anyone that even remotely African would be jazzed at this but, there's always some asshole that needs to shit on something beautiful. Bad Zulu? WOW ! ASSHOLE !
