When I want to introduce people to Wumpscut this is probably the song I'd go with. Althought there songs are so good it'd be hard to choose just one.

I think it'd be too shallow of :w: to write a song just about Christ being an insignificant lunatic, as seems to be the general consensus about the meaning of this song.I think it's much more an ode to the humanity of Christ, and of all "great people" in general. He was to some just a regular carpenter who had a lot of divinity thrusted upon him. He was destined his entire life to die for the sins of humanity. - "Oh Christ, you didn't know, He saw the hill"He lived up to the expectations, he believed he was the son of God. But when another great man, with such great responsibility, Pilatus, injustly condemned Jesus to crucifiction, the punishment for the basest... everyman... the entire thing crashed on poor Christ as he hung on the cross - he fulfilled what he needed, what was expected; he was the Messias - "And He screamed out, I had the will", and in his own fervent belief shot the blame on God in his last crisis of faith. In the end, "Oh Christ, you're just a lunatic." You're just a poor man driven to insanity, driven by the masses to the hill they all anticipated him to die on. Drove him to accept himself as the messias. But in the end, "he was nailed like ugly scum to trunks of shame, the carpenter's done." It's a beautiful masterpiece that reminds us that under the fleshy masses of public image, there hides a human writhes in turmoil and pain to live up to the expectation of him. I mean, everyone knew about Golgotha. Christ was the Holy Ghost. That's a lot of pressure. Poor Christ.

If you really think like that, this is merely another reason to hate your narcissistic god.

The death of a single man is not more important than the deaths of 2,500.
