I was in High School with the mother of one of the band members of Wretched. His mother is a precious, friendly and kind woman. Wretched has kicked my ass. I still love music at 50 just as I did at 18. I love progressive music and Wretched IS progressive music.

Actually thats incorrect. Most Death Metal bands now construct what i like to label sonic constructs, inplace of the older more typical riffs and beats. Instead of individual compostion they lean more toward a unified, cohesive wave of brutality. Its more in vein of an Orchestra, than individual artists.

I respect the fuck out of the skill, but waaayy too much going on to me to consistently listen to. Solos, blast beats, and vocals need to placed appropriately and that's what most tech death bands fail to grasp
