my high school is putting the production of rent on and i have the most amazing chance. i got cast as Mimi and i get to sing this.. this song hits home for me although i'm at a young age i lost my best friend to a car crash who just so happened to be my boyfriend at the time... i love him so much and i miss him to pieces... i will most likely cry during this song when i'm singing it so this will be an amazing experience :)

@Tyler Mosher, I too listened to this song when I lost a close friend to suicide 4 years ago. Every word in this song conveyed exactly what I was feeling. Waking up every morning asking yourself why it seems like life around you is all normal and yet I'm sad and dealing with an unimaginable guilt trip. This song really REALLY brings out what people feel when they feel the most crushed.
