Wishbone Ash are a great band. Even during the lean times they could unleash some great tunes like this one. Also they were always great live judging by their live recordings throughout the years. Always reaching out to new fans and not resting on their laurels. Listen to the Tracks compilation and there is a metallic version of Phoenix from 1983 which tops every other version in my opinion.

This album is actually very overlooked. Ash's management were looking for a new direction and were probably right, but went about it in the wrong way. Wetton's vocals are on there with Martin Turners; his bass playing dare i say it is a touch better too. And you know, the 70's were over, it was a new decade. Gotta move with the times.

They ' came back stronger in years to come ' ........are you SERIOUS ........like they made another album in the caliber of ' Just Testing ' , ' Front page news ' , ' There's the Rub ' , ' No smoke without fire ' and Argus .....is that what you are saying . ???

was one of the weaker efforts but I still like it- tghis song is great live- and while i would like it if martin stayed it didn't matter- they came back stronger in the years to come-

John Wetton offered his songs Here Comes The Feeling and Heat Of The Moment to the band, but they refused them.

Crap album , made after an awful idea to ' indirectly sack ' Martin Turner .

better late then never.. although 40 years late. not just this song, but the energy and driving groove would of helped there career. oh yea don't forget brian johnson.. hey a more comercial rock vocal would have helped there career. i'm as big if not bigger W/ ash fan as you guys. i sat in the arena's supporting Ash. they stayed true to there art. and missed the Zeplin size audience. i just wish radio would have treated them better. treated us better.
