First saw them at Sheffield City Hall in 1972, been a fan ever since. The most underrated band ever.

This album got me through basic in the Army. Had a record player in my locker and the Sgt could notĀ give a phuck. Schools Out and Honky Chateau..all three over and over...all the dudes liked all three .....weird times then

Twin lead guitar heaven. Saw them first in March 1976 at The Warehouse in New Orleans.

Love those guys. They are one of the soundtracks of my teenage years. Argus!!! Their best.

Hearing this always brings me back to 1973, in the Tonkin Gulf or Subic Bay Naval Station, Maybe Hong Kong or Singapore ships were always being rotated off and on Yankee Station for one reason or another. We wore this album out, this and "It's a Beautiful Day". I spent most of 73 on a Destroyer in and out of the Gulf of Tonkin.

Just about the finest example of twin-lead guitar playing you could ever hope to hear.

I love how this music takes me back to another dimension. Such great music in the 70's.

I don't tend to listen to a song on repeat but this one has an exception. For me, a song only seems to get stuck in my head if I don't know all the lyrics to it. But Blowin Free has a special place for me now. All I have to do is hum those first chords and I can sing it to myself all day.
