Vocally, it sounds like black metal to me (which existed before the newer waves of melodic death metal) that's why I said it. It was only my opinion, hence why I said in my original comment "I'd say". At the end of the day I like "music", and don't really care for being over-specific about genre names, I just listen and enjoy. And yeah, it was a retarded reason, but it gave me some amusement at the time, oh how bored I was..
