I've noticed that eastern metal bands (Windir, Edguy, Children of Bodom, etc) tend to have really good melodies, while Western bands tend to focus on kickass riffs. Anyone else notice this?

Actually the album cover is a painting of I.C Dahl, depicting a historic stone at Nornes, close to Valfars homeplace. The stone in the picture was put in a museum in 1993 and is about a metre high.
