Great drum solo.  Since Wind Machine was originally made famous by Buddy Rich, naturally Butch's solo is similar to Buddy.  However it is a nice solo, accurate, and crisp.  How about the sound of his snare---and this was from 1992.  Why settle for a snare from 2013 when one can get a great snare sound from 1992.  I gather its a Ludwig.  Does anyone know of its model?   By the way, great band.

Saw Butch with Bassie in Edmonton in the late '70s. The single best concert I've ever attended. Don't know what they thought of Edmonton, but it was a great night . . .

Yeah Yeah Yeah Buddy chews or chewed up everybody, "So What!" Charles Miles is, in my opinion, the closest thing to Buddy there is. Is he close, fairly close but no cigar because those of us that grew up with Buddy, know Bernard was the best. But having watched Butch many times live, he is close.

I can recognize peripheral talent when I see it. Butch has the raw energy of Buddy and the musical sense of Morello. If you can't recognize that, you are only hurting your own developmental abilities.

Wow, you met my predictions exactly! I've seen you around on the site, and you follow the usual pattern of a troll. When met with disagreement, you head to that person's channel, post whatever mindless comments you can think of, then call that person a retard for disagreeing. Let me instruct you further. I did not insult Buddy. Like you, I consider Buddy to be one of the greatest drummers to have ever lived, In fact, anybody who DOESN'T consider him at that level is uneducated. Regardless,

ARE YOU SMOKING WEED????? BUDDY RICH WAS THE GREATEST>>>>>>>>>DO SOME HOMEWORK BEFORE MAKING A STUPID COMMENT LIKE THAT!!! I took lessons with the Great Ed Shaughnessy from the Carson show..He spent his entire life watching Buddy Rich,,,You should do the same.

your comment is like your head , " empty " . As i said if you knew Buddy like i did you would know what i said previously is true . Or maybe all the worlds great drummers are wrong , and we should all listen to what you say ...and take it as law . Before you start calling anyone pathetic names , look in the mirror .....or better still get your facts straight .
