I think you did a wonderful job. As far as removing Bette's name, I think you gave her tribute by adding it. Ignore the haters...there's always one, or two, unfortunately. Other's may have recorded it, but Bette made it famous!

You should remove her name then, because in the search for Bette Midler's version yours comes up. As this song is not a Bette Midler original it was recorded by several other artist prior to her 1988 version for the Soundtrack to Beaches. Sheena Easton also recorded it in 1982. Not saying there's anything wrong with how you sing it. You sound just fine. It would make it easier removing Bette's name being she didn't write the song nor did she record it first. Just my opinion.

As a matter of fact, I can. And do, and have performed live. So I am quite familiar with how a song should sound as apposed to how it does in Anett's version. This song was written in 1982 by Jeff Silbar and Larry Henley. And performed by several artist including Sheena Easton prior to Bette Midlers version in 1988. I'm not saying she sounds bad. Just advertise herself instead of Bette Midler to end any confusion others may have when searching for the Bette Midler version. .

this was our high school graduation song while marching in the aisle with my MOM,and as far as i can remember my tears keep on falling from the beginning up to the last part of the song.. i am dedicating this song to my mom who passed away six years ago.. i always remember her every time i hear this song,just like the lyrics says: i want you to know, i know the truth cause i know it i would be nothing without you...you are the wind beneath my wings!!!I MISS YOU SO MUCH MOM "JOCELINE A LELINA"
