Wilson Pickett (March 18, 1941 -- January 19, 2006) was an American soul singer and began his career as a member of The Group The Falcons.
He had his biggest hit in the United States in 1965 with In the Midnight Hour and songs like Mustang Sally and Fire and Water, its last hit (in the United States) in 1972.
In the Midnight Hour was a hit in 1976 in the cover version by Bryan Ferry on his ep The Price of Love. However, Pickett also in Europe was not forgotten: in 1991 the feature film The Commitments was released, about a white Irish soul band that Pickett-played songs.
Pickett has performed several times in Netherlands, for example, in 1995, as part of the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague. The NOS reported the performance on television. Pickett died in 2006 at age 64 in Reston, Virginia.
Un'Avventura is written by Italian singer/songwriter Lucio Battisti born on March 5, 1943, in the small town of Poggio Bustone, in Rieti, Italy. His family relocated to Rome in 1950, and by the mid-'60s, Battisti was performing in local bands, one of which was named Campioni.
