This song "Pumps"! Willy was so cool. Saw him play at the Ritz in NYC back in the day (the real Ritz) with De Ville. At the end of the set he came on for the encore from back stage with lip stick kisses on his face. So cool!. Great song and great memories of CBGS's. I loved that place. Always took the seat right above the juke box. Best seat in the house. Great days. God bless your soul Willy.

As this is a tribute to both Willy as CBGB, I have to mention that the movie "CBGB" will come to a cinema near you soon. The premiere will be during 2013. Unfortunately, I couldn't find Willy in the acting list. But I think this could be a great opportunity to experience the environment that was his early days and roots. This was (is) classic, along with The Laughing Dogs "I Need A Million" from same double vinyl. Willy was great. Saw him in L.A., late seventies, at both the Whiskey and The Roxy. Hung with him before the show in my friend's shack/apartment hidden in the vines in the parking lot behind the Whiskey.
