As much as I LOVE Willie Nelson, I could never figure out why he RUSHES the Melody and sings out of time. Listen to when Merle Haggard sings his lead part later in the song. He's right in time and sounds more along the lines of the original record that he and Willie Nelson released. Artists like the freedom to sing their songs anyway they want, I get that. But sometimes Willie's timing is off. That said, Willie Nelsen is one of my all time favorite Country Singers. Merle Haggard is a Country Legend and deserves all the accolades he has received in his Career. I also enjoy Toby Keith's original songs and his live performances too.

WOW!!! Do you complaining people want some "cheese with your whine". Most of the musicians that I play music around are amazed at the way Willie is able to break time and rhythm with his voice and guitar and come back to where the band has kept the back beat and rhythm. I will bet you can't do it!!!!!!
