I'm reading Willie's book, It's a Long Story...and he tells how his label wasn't wild about this album, but since he had creative control he won...released in 1978, it stayed on the charts for over ten years and sold five million copies..I think it was done well, love these old tunes :)

tom tee... thanks for the memory... you sound like someone i'd like to hang out with... i first heard willie 1975/76?? on saturday nite live .....blue eyes crying in the rain.. just floored me !!! i've been hooked ever since. his interpretation of stardust is magical.. i've slept out while camping and on the beach under star filled skies ....and could always hear this beautiful song almost as if it were being played by the stars....

It was probably more than 30yrs ago when I was working oil exploration in the Great Sandy Desert and at the end of contract, we all camped under a huge mesa mountain for three days waiting to be flown back home. 3 glorious, lazy days and nights under the stars and someone kept playing this album over and over and over. I never got sick of it. I got back home and bought it myself and still have it today. It still has me gazing up at the stars in wonder.
