Here I sit new years day 2015 wondering how much longer we're gonna have Emmylou and Willie? Tom T. and Linda Ronstadt. The Oak Ridge Boys. So many of the greatest singers, songwriters and musicians of the past half dozen decades have gone to their rewards. And the folks that were "discovered" in my middle age are now old. How does one replace a Johnny Cash? Or a Hoyt Axton? John Denver? Ya don't. Ya CAN'T. Blue grass, country, gospel, R&B, they've ALL suffered the losses of their greatest ambassadors. Makes me sad to contemplate the day they're ALL gone. But I'll enjoy THIS.
