People -- if you're mad about the fact that this "is an Eli Young Band" song, keep this in mind...Brantley Gilbert started writing (some of Jason Aldean's songs), and that got him his break.Chase Rice started writing (he wrote "Cruise"), and it got him his breakSam Hunt started writing (wrote Keith Urban's "Cop Car") and writing got him his big break too.That's just how the business works, boys and girls.

I disagree. Ei Young does have a tone of emotion, but Will Hoge's is the original. He wrote this from his heart directly. I love the part where it goes "oohhh" during the chorus towards the end and it doesn't di that in Eli Young's version. Just MY opinion.

It's irritating when people bitch that Eli Young Band keeps Will Hoge from earning respect as the songwriter here. Hoge, outside the mainstream, wrote an amazing song, the song is covered by a mainstream country band, becomes a #1 hit and gets nominated for "Song of the Year" at the CMAs, an award which -- GASP! -- goes to the SONGWRITER, not the PERFORMER. How's that not "getting respect"?
