It's hard to explain. The idea to do this tune just hit me one day, and here it is.

grungenrocknroll - Thank you very much! I really enjoy playing slide. You should give it a try. I'm sure you would do great things with it. You have a great Strat sound, but I know you would do wonderful things with a Tele too!

Superb technique mate! As soon as I've seen this, I've subscribed to your channel. I believe that I can learn so many things from you. That sliding technique is marvellous. That Tele has a nice singing tone man. The total arrangement of yours is so delicate but that tele part tears me apart. Wild man u know what I mean real wild. Stones forever!

Opinions about things like this are never right or wrong, but I appreciate you're overwhelmingly supportive comments about my music overall.

rd2ed - Thanks, as always, for the unwavering support! The white guitar solo was something that was meant to break the pattern a bit, but I do see what you mean. ...and don't worry, phase II of "There's Always Hope" is coming this weekend. The holidays are over, and the finger is healed. All I need now is a good 8 hours of sleep, and I'll be all set.

Dabomb - Thank you! I've always liked the melody in this song, so I figured it would translate well to slide guitar.

bb06130 - Thanks! To record everthing, I'm using a Tascam digital mixing board, which is plugged into a PC running SONY Vegas sound-editing software. The electric guitars are going through a POD amp emulator, and I'm using a Shure microphone for the acoustic. To edit the final video, I use Video Explosion Deluxe.

This is superb. How do you get such great sound with your recording. I'm new at this and I'm using a little sony pocket cam. The sound that I get on my recordings sounds nothing like what I'm hearing live. Do I need a special mic? What video editing are you using? Thanks again. This is a truly original cover. I love the slide!

Thank you! I'm sorry, I didn't use voice notes. I go "by ear" on just about everything I do.
