Absolutely not the same! The singer was born in Liverpool as Jean Owen, originally in Vernons Girls, then went out on her own under the name Samantha Jones. Why someone else had to come along thirty years later and re-use the name I do not know. It certainly confuses things. Anyway, great version of this song !
